Freddie Omega Ramsey McClendon

Freddie Omega Ramsey McClendon passed away on January 5, 2025, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Rolling Fork, MS.  She was 81 years old.  

Freddie was born on March 4, 1943, the daughter of the late Jack and Grace Ramsey of Greenville, MS.  She was a member of Rolling Fork First Baptist Church.  She served the Greenville area as a Registered Nurse for many years. 

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, husband, Joe W. McClendon of Rolling Fork, MS, brother, Jackie Ramsey of Greenville, MS, son Dewey J. McClendon (Peanut) of Rolling Fork, MS and grandsons, Brett McClendon of Cleveland, MS and Drew McClendon of Rolling Fork, MS. 

She is survived by her brother, Sharmon Ramsey (Bobby Nell), of Sequin, TX, a sister, Betty Jo Simpson of Brandon, MS, sons, Joe McClendon, Jr. (Ann) of Hernando, MS and Jeff McClendon (Beth) of Rolling Fork, MS, grandsons, Cory McClendon of Cleveland, MS, RJ McClendon of Chester, IL, Shaw Ingram (Caroline) of Hattiesburg, MS and Ross Ingram of Alexander, AR, granddaughter, Brittany Hill (Noah) of Cleveland, MS, great-grandsons, Beau Hill, Weston and Cooper Ingram and granddaughter Fallon McClendon.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Rolling Fork First Baptist Church, with Brother Britt Williamson serving as officiant.  Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home. 

Pallbearers will be Joe McClendon, Jr., Cory McClendon, Noah Hill and RJ McClendon.
