Gary Kirk Neill

Gary Neill, 62, passed away unexpectedly on October 6, 2023.

He was a lifelong resident of Utica, Mississippi. He retired from the Mapping Department with the Hinds County tax Assessors Department and enjoyed several part time jobs after retirement. He had plans to fully retire at the end of November and enjoy his hobbies, time with family and friends and his puppy Willie Earl Neill. 

He was a self-taught musician, first with his beloved bass guitar and learning several instruments including piano and keyboard. His latest hobby was painting which he looked forward to pursuing after retirement.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Carolyn Neill, brother Randy Neill and father-in-law Jack Burger.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie Burger Neill, son Austin Neill, sisters Sheila Lyons and Rhonda Jones, also stepchildren Jason Cade, Tiffani Cade (Brendon), and Megan McDaniel, as well as several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be held on October 21, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at Bethesda Presbyterian Church at 6688 Canada Cross Road, Edwards, Mississippi 39066.
