George Shelton Russum

George Shelton Russum passed away on Friday 7, 2020 at the age of 87.

George was born on April 23, 1932 the son of James Percy and Virginia Shelton Russum.  After graduation from high school he served in the Air Force and then went on to work for Southwest Electric Power; retiring after 40 years of service.   He loved his dogs, gardening and camping.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers James Percy Russum, Jr., Gary McCaa Russum and William Norris Russum and his sister Kathleen Russum Donald.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years Sydnette C. Russum; his daughter Elaine Ramirez, granddaughter Elizabeth Ramirez and grandson Liam Olivares all of Sugar Land, TX; his sister Nell Gill  of Edwards, MS. and his wonderful caregiver Dany Cruz.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson, MS. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.  Burial will follow in Wintergreen.

Pallbearers will be Dany Cruz, Charlie Donald, George Donald, David Donald, Dave Barry and Gene Davis.
