Gerald Ray Davis, Sr. passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023. He was 71 years old. He was born in Vicksburg, MS on May 14, 1952. He was an avid hunter. He worked at Dura Carpets. He was a Mason at W.H. Stevens Lodge #121 York Rite Bodies of Vicksburg, Scottish Rite Southern Jurisdiction and order of the Easter Star Acacia #56. He loved his grandbabies.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Wilson and Doris Robinson Davis; sister, Donna Davis Trost.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Beverly Pritchett Davis; son, Gerald Ray Davis, Jr. (Kasey); daughter, Rebecca Davis Brooks; brother, Michael Alan Davis; grandchildren, Marc David Grace, Jr. (Corey), Dalton Ray Grace (Brittney), Abbie Rae Brooks, Anthony James Brooks and Lauren Rae Davis; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Renee Grace and Carter Thomas Grace.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Glenwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of the service. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gerald Ray Davis, Jr., Tony Wallace, Mark Wallace, Marc David Grace, Jr., Anthony James Brooks and Dalton Ray Grace.
