Glenn William Matthews, Jr.

Glenn William "Will" Matthews, Jr. passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025. He was born in Jackson, MS on January 22, 1986, to Bubba and Tena Templeton Matthews. He was 39 years old. He loved hunting, fishing, camping and traveling.  He was very smart when it came to electrical work. Will had a huge heart, he never met a stranger nor had an enemy. He never wanted to disappoint anybody whether it was the truth or a lie. He knew every word to a song even if it just came out. He cherished his grandsons.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Tena Templeton Matthews.

He is survived by his wife, Lesa Jean Matthews; father, Bubba Matthews; stepsons, Taylor Smith (Laura) and Coby Smith (Lindsey); sister, Lindsay Matthews Lynn; grandsons, Landon Smith and Savior Smith; niece, Chloe Flaharty; nephew, Colby Smith and Corbin Brown.

Pallbearers will be Taylor Smith, Coby Smith, Kyle Eaton, Jacob Kinard, Chad Holmes, Lee McCaffrey, Dustin Jones and Dusty Pennington. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brian McCaffrey, JD Lee, Burton Kellum and John Thomason.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Glenwood Funeral Home. A funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. James Busby officiating the service. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
