Gloria Ann Herman passed away on July 28, 2024, at the age of 86.
Gloria was born on December 29, 1937, the daughter of O’Neil Griffin and Gladys Cotham. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed crocheting and coupon clipping. She attended Sharon Chapel Assembly of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jimmy Herman, Sr., eight brothers and sisters, a grandson Brandon Bonds, son-in-law Tad Bonds and daughter-in-law Beverly Herman.
She is survived by children James Herman, Jr. (Connie), Virginia Barnett (David), Mary Ellen Bonds (an the late Tad Bonds) and Johnny Herman (Dorcus), brother Leroy Griffin (Renee), sister Frances Conleay, grandchildren Eva Pickle (Bubba), Jennifer Chenevert, Jimmy Lee Bonds (Shelby), Dustin Herman, Jamie Herman, Mary Margaret Jones (Matt), Megan Brown (Tyler), Cassie Clay and Erin Willard ( Andrew) Ross Koop (Savanna), Travis Koop and Stephanie Johnson (Austin) and great- grandchildren William Pickle, Aidan Jones, Nolan Pickle, Peyton Pickle, Aubree Herman, Sawyer Ross Bonds, Owen Bonds, Kylan Clay ,Asher Willard, Payton Koop, Kenley Koop and Judson Koop.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday August 2, 2024, at Sharon Chapel Assembly of God. Tim Edwards will officiate the service. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of the service. Interment will follow in County Line Cemetery in Glen Allen, MS.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Lee Bonds, Dustin Herman, William Pickle, Aidan Jones, Nolan Pickle, Bubba Pickle, Matt Jones and Tyler Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Owen Bonds, Kylan Clay and Asher Willard.
