Hope Marie Bailey

Hope Marie Bailey passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. She was born in Vicksburg, MS on December 8, 1975, to Barry "Pop" Batchelor and Sharon Craft Batchelor. She enjoyed going shopping. She was known for her warm heart, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. Hope found joy in simple pleasures. Spending quality time with her children and grandchildren were some things she enjoyed. Her greatest pride was her family; she poured boundless love into her children and grandchildren, celebrating every milestone and offering steady encouragement in both triumph and challenge. Her kindness and gentle humor brightened every room she entered, leaving an imprint of grace and compassion on everyone who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Heather Lashay Blakely Hearn; grandmother, Billie Louise Wooley; grandfather, Thurghmond Wooley.

She is survived by her husband, David Shane Bailey; son, Richard "Shane" Bailey (Carly); daughter, Shelby Marie Bailey (Caleb); father, Barry "Pop" Batchelor; mother, Sharon Craft Batchelor; brother, Brian Keith Greer, II; sister, Hannah Leigh Blakely Green (Harris); grandchildren, Saylor Jade Bailey and Meredith Blake Wallace; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Hearn, Cole Williams, Evan Green, Delton Burns, Clay Jones, and Shea Walls.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025, at Glenwood Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Tony Winkler officiating the service. Visitation will be at 9:30 A.M. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
