Howard Allen Nelson

Howard Allen Nelson also known as “General” and “Papaw” passed from this life on 9-4-25 at the age of 77. He was born in Vicksburg on April 4th, 1948. Howard retired from the Vicksburg District Corp of Engineers where he worked on the Dredge Jadwin.

He was preceded in death by his parents D. L. Nelson and Ethel J. Nelson. Also a brother, Donald L. Nelson.

He is survived by 2 sons, Marvin L. Nelson and Wife Hope of Vicksburg and also Koury A. Nelson and Wife Gina of Brandon. Four Grandchildren, Elizabeth Hope Adam’s, Olivia Leigh Nelson, Danny Allen Nelson, and Neely Frances Nelson. One Great Granddaughter, Adelaide Hope Adams.

Visitation service will be at Glenwood Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 9, from 3 - 5 P.M.
