James D. Kirkley passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. He was 76 years old. James was born in Vicksburg, MS on October 21, 1951.
He is preceded in death by his parents, A. J. and June Jeter Kirkley, a brother, David Kirkley, and his son, Justin D. Kirkley.
He is survived by his wife, Terri C. Kirkley, and his sister, Linda Watts.
James was well known throughout his life as Buster Kirkley to all his family and friends. He served in the U. S. Navy for 4 years with an honorable discharge. Following shortly with employment at J. O. Smith towing and continuing throughout his years with different towing companies. He ended his career with Magnolia Marine as Master Captain, retiring with illness at 62. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. James was a very good man, hardworking and fun loving, who loved his family very much.
A memorial service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church on February 28, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jackie Banes officiating.
