James Dennis McDaniel

ROLLING FORK—James Dennis McDaniel, 66, of Rolling Fork, passed away November 2, 2023 at Sharkey-Issaquena Community Hospital in Rolling Fork.

Born January 9, 1957, to James and Marcilia Mayberry McDaniel in Dexter, Mo., he earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Mizzou.

Jimmy was a custom harvester, truck driver, parts man and restauranteur. He loved life, his friends and his family, and loved to cook. Always good for a laugh, he came from a long line of storytellers. He was known for his stories and always had a positive attitude.

Mr. McDaniel was a member of First Baptist Church in Anguilla.

He was preceded in death by his parents and stepson, Jon Carson.

He is survived by his wife, Dianne McDaniel; two sons, Zachary McDaniel and Emmet Rankin; sister, Jamie McMillan; and brother, Lee McDaniel.

A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. on November 25 at First Baptist Church in Anguilla.

Glenwood Funeral Home of Vicksburg has been entrusted with arrangements.
