James Leonard Wicker

James Wicker, 61, of Vicksburg, MS died in Vicksburg, MS, on September 30, 2025.

James was born in Delhi, LA on January 17, 1964 to Murphy and Louise Wicker. He lived a majority of his life in Las Vegas, NV and Vicksburg, MS.

James was preceded in death by his parents Murphy and Louise Wicker and three brother’s Terry Wicker, Rusty Wicker, Danny Joe Wicker. He is survived by his three brother’s Jerry (Florence) Wicker, Michael (Stephanie) Wicker, and David (Wanda) Wicker. As well as numerous nieces and nephews and two sister in laws Elizabeth Wicker and Priscilla Wicker. 

James will always be remembered for his musical talents, his love of music, and the love he had for his family. 

We couldn’t have asked for a better brother and uncle. We will miss James everyday. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 12 p.m. at Highland Baptist Church, 3518 Halls Ferry Rd, Vicksburg, MS, 39180. Visitation from 11 a.m. until the hour of service.
