Jerry Archie Obituary

Jerry Dean Stennett Archie, born December 16, 1951, known affectionately as "Minnie" by her siblings, crossed over into her heavenly home on March 7, 2024, leaving behind an extraordinary legacy of love, faith, and devotion to family and God.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Michele Bell (the late Bob Bell), Marc Marble (Valerie), Kimberly Fuller (Bobby), Anna Blakely (Anthony), and Sarah Archie. She has nine grandchildren Matthew Bell, Emily Leflore (Adam), Logan Marble, Shelby Marble, Abby Claire Fuller, Caleb Blakely, Brendan Blakely, Benjamin Blakely, and Malachi Blakely. She has two great grandchildren Greyson Marble and Maren Leflore. She is also survived by brothers Trip Stennett (the late Barbara Stennett), Keith Stennett (Lyla), sisters Mary Sellers (the late Ricky Sellers), Lisa McLeod (Richard) and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. She is preceded in death by beloved parents, Loma and Jerry Stennett, her devoted husband, Michael Archie, her caring brother, Timothy Stennett, and her cherished great granddaughter, Kylee Marble.

In addition to being a loving wife, mother and sister, Jerry was a Christian educator by profession, a prophetic person by gifting, and a lover of God by passion. Jerry was a woman of faith, passionately reading and studying her Bible, and often sharing her insights through her journaling, witnessing and prayerful worship.  Generous in love and in spirit, steadfast in prayer for others, Jerry's heart for Jesus was her greatest gift to those who knew her.

With diverse interests that spanned photography, history, and writing, Jerry's personality was multifaceted. She had a deep appreciation for music, particularly Christian artists such as Amy Grant, Chris Tomlin, Casting Crowns, and Mercy Me. Her favorite TV shows included classics like RifleMan, GunSmoke, Bonanza, and Little House on the Prairie, and she cherished the artwork of Thomas Kincaid. Her love for animals led her to care for many different types of animals throughout her life including dogs, cats, birds, horses, and bunnies. Revered for her maternal love, Jerry considered her greatest accomplishment to be her children and grandchildren. Her favorite vacation spot was the beach and she found solace in locales like the Vicksburg National Military Park where she nurtured her love of history. She was an enthusiast of books and reveled in the works of Christian authors like Tommy Tenney, Beth Moore, and Rick Warren.

The family would like to acknowledge Dr Sam Pierce, Dr George Habeeb, Dr Patrick Bynum, River Region and the entire staff of Vicksburg Convalescent Home for their excellent care of our loved one over the past year.

A memorial service to celebrate Jerry's life will be held on March 16, 2024, 11:00 AM at Bovina Baptist Church, Vicksburg, MS. Those interested may make donations to "Paws Rescue" at https://everloved.com/life-of… in her honor.

In the end, Jerry's legacy will always be her unwavering love for Christ Jesus our Savior. Her life was a testament to the belief that we are each loved not for what we do, but simply for who we are, and that we must be faithful to the gifts and callings bestowed upon us.
