Jim Beard Jr.

Jim Beard, Jr. passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2025. He was born on October 30, 1951, to Jim Beard Sr. and Ruthie Mae Moseley Beard in Vicksburg, MS. Jim loved to search the family tree, reunions, collecting old games and baseball cards. He loved spending time with family. He graduated from Warren Central and Hinds Community College. He worked a short time at LeTourneau as a draftsman. He then went to work for the State of Mississippi and retired after many years. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jim Beard Sr. and Ruthie Mae Moseley Beard; brother-in-law, Ronnie Williams.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linda Beard; son, Aaron Christopher Beard; brother, David Beard (Sherry) and Timothy Beard (Patti); sisters, Carrie Williams, Patsy Higginbotham (Billy), Brenda Weeks (Mike) and Myra Beard; one grandchild, Logan Christopher Beard. 

Pallbearers will be Jarvis Moseley, Ramey Williams, Robert Chandler, Mark Williams, Roger Barrett and Larry Golden. 

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 23, 2025, at Raymond Rd Baptist Church in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be an hour before the service. Burial will follow in Edwards Cemetery.
