John Russell Keen

John Russell Keen passed peacefully at his home on July 15, 2024, at the age of 41. 

John was born on August 27, 1982, the son of Jerry Donald Keen, Sr. and Shirley Byrd Keen.  He loved laughing, hunting and fishing with Michele and Blake.  He worked for Riverside Construction since he was 18 years old as a heavy equipment operator; spending many hours on the Mississippi River placing rock.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his uncles Thomas Keen, Larry Byrd and Kenny Byrd and his favorite dog Sara.  

Left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved son Johnathan Blake Keen, the love of his life Michele Willis, his two bonus sons and their wives Carl and Baylee Willis and Randy and Morgan Willis, his mother and father Shirley Keen and Jerry Keen, Sr., sisters Cheryl Asad and Katie Keen, his Baby Mama Mindy Morris, all of Vicksburg, his brothers Jerry Keen, Jr. of Pearl, Paul Keen of Burkeville, VA, and Mark Keen of Dallas, TX, numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, friends and Riverside family.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Glenwood Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Jackie Banes.  Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of the service.
