Jordon Hiram Stong, age 27, passed away on May 14, 2023, in Oxford, Mississippi at Baptist Memorial Hospital.
He is born on November 1, 1995, in Vicksburg, MS to parents Tim and Susan Stong. He graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. Jordon was employed by Terrral River Services as the coordinator of Human Resources and Benefits in Vicksburg, MS.
Family was everything to Jordon and he was looking forward to becoming uncle to his niece, Sadie Marie. He loved any reason to gather with his family. Jordon also loved his friends and camp friends as family. He made everyone feel like a friend and he never met a stranger and if you liked Ole Miss, he loved you even more.
Jordon was very social, and he brought laughter to whoever he was with. Jordon's love for the Ole Miss Rebels knew no boundaries. He enjoyed road trips, and never minded if he had to sleep on a couch. His family and friends will always remember him as someone who brought joy and laughter to any occasion, and as someone who not only loved, but loved big.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Col. Todd Stong, of Downington, PA; his maternal grandfather, James Stevens, of Vicksburg, MS.
Jordon is survived by his parents, Tim and Susan Stong, of Vicksburg, MS; his sister, Darrah (Hunter) Salamone of Long Beach; his paternal grandmother, Vivian Stong, of Salt Lake City, Utah; his maternal grandmother, Alice Stevens, of Vicksburg, MS; and a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins who loved him dearly.
Pallbearers will be Sean Dolan, Tyler Stevens, Taylor Stevens, Justin Daley, Caleb Farrar, McKay Harris. Honorary pallbearers will be Hunter Salamone, Trevor Byrd, Cody Ramer, Thomas Browning, Kyler Farrar, Kyle Stong, Jeremy Carroll, Blake Carroll, Hunter Bell, Mason Perkins and Blake Stalans.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 19, 2023, at Glenwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of the service. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
