Joseph Trent Lewis passed away on January 18, 2026, at the age of 32. He was born in Vicksburg, MS on May 14, 1993.
Trent was loved by many. He was a father, a son, brother and friend. He loved his kids, his family, and friends more than he loved himself. He was charismatic, goofy, and the most selfless person we knew. Trent could never be serious about anything. If you wanted to be serious don’t look at Trent. He loved to pick on you and loved to make jokes, but one thing about it, if he didn’t pick on you, he didn’t like you. He was always the life of the party and always had a smile on his face. Trent will be missed by so many and was loved by all that was around him. The pain of his death and the grief we feel, will never go away, but his memory will live on forever. We love you Trent, forever and ever, Amen.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Gene Russell, paternal grandparents Gordon and Ethel Lewis and Josie McGuffie, Uncle Howard Lewis and his wife Nikki, Aunt Martha Friley and her husband Robert and his biological father Joey Reynolds.
He is survived by his parents Dennis and Cindy Lewis, son Jenson Lewis, daughter Adalee “Adi” Lewis, brothers Taylor Lewis and Dennis Lewis (Clara Grace), maternal grandmother Sandra Russell, maternal grandfather Larry Palmer and many nieces.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Glenwood Funeral Home. Rev. T.J. Tennison will officiate the service. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of the service. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Rex Pierce, Lane Mason, Mitchell Johnson, Austin Bullock, Dalton Downs, Jacob Prescott and David Abernathy. Honorary pallbearers will be Taylor Lewis, Dennis Lewis, Gordon Downs, Phillip Johnson, JK Alexander, David Emerson and Daniel Clow.
