Katherine Vaughan Dean

Katherine Vaughan Dean passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024. She was 99 years old. She was born in Utica, MS to Cicero Pope and Ola Lillian Hemphill Vaughan on July 4, 1925. She worked at Letourneau. She also ran and operated K's Grill. Most recently she worked and retired at Waterways. She loved to work in her yard and garden. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Max (Jake) Henry Dean; parents, Cicero Pope and Ola Lillian Hemphill Vaughan; brothers, Donald Vaughan, Ellis Vaughan and William Percy. 

She is survived by her daughter, Kay Parrish (Thomas), grandchildren, Shawn Parrish (Kathy) and Kacey Fabrizio (Leo), great-grandchildren, Hadley Parrish, Brice Derrington, Montanna Derrington, Lake Parrish and Giles Parrish; great-great-grandchildren, Esme Trujillo and Gio Trujillo.

A graveside service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that any donations be made to the St. Jude Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
