Kenneth R. Wilson was called home to be with our Lord on September 21, 2020, at the age of 75.
Kenneth was survived by his wife of 55 years, Nadine Wilson; his daughters Sharon Melvin and Kendra Robertson (Jerry); four grandchildren Jarvis Melvin (Lindsay), Cody Melvin (Karen), Brittany Terry (Jeremy), and Gary Robertson; two step grandchildren Destiny Miles and Dustin Kline; four great grandchildren Logan and Sophia Terry, Joslyn Robertson, and Caroline Melvin; a step great grandchild Cannon Felts; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Kenneth was born on January 21, 1945 in Vicksburg, MS. He attended Redwood High School, where he loved playing football. He became the First Mate on the M/V Lipscomb, while working for the Corps of Engineers. He enjoyed watching westerns and the news. He was also a New Orleans Saints football fan, he watched every game he could. He was a devoted husband and loving father/grandfather. He built a family and a legacy; he was truly proud to say was his.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his mother Doris Jordan; step father Odis Hunt (Ruby); and a daughter Kathern Wilson.
Visitation will be Friday, September 25, 2020 from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg, MS. A graveside service will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Brother Danny Holman (Church of Christ, Greenville, MS) will officiate the service.
