Kenneth “Ken” Lane Zingery, 74, was born on February 26, 1950, in Ravenna, Ohio and
passed away peacefully on April 1, 2024, in Vicksburg, Mississippi. He was married to the
love of his life, Patricia Stuckey Zingery for 53 years. He was a member of Vicksburg First
Church of the Nazarene and had been attending Redwood Methodist Church. He enjoyed
being actively involved with his church, gathering with his friends and family making jokes,
and was an avid Ohio State football fan. He was a faithful Christian who shared his love for
the Lord with everyone he interacted with. Ken attended Mt. Vernon University in Ohio and
graduated with a B.S. in Theology from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville,
Tennessee. He moved to Vicksburg after marriage where he made a home to raise his
three children. He retired from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Union National
Insurance.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, George and Cora Zingery; son, Cory Zingery;
sisters, Alice Vanmeter of Washington, Bonny Jewell of Ohio, and Violet Reaser of Ohio.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Zingery; son, Scott Zingery (Mary Elizabeth) of Fort Mill,
SC; daughter, Dawn Dozier (Robert Hugh) of Ridgeland, MS; sister, Estella Brown (Ned) of
Ohio; 3 grandchildren, Sennette Dozier, Carter Zingery, and Stella Kate Zingery; and
numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Vicksburg Convalescent Home,
the staff of Gentiva Hospice, and to Dr. Patrick Bynum.
