Lawrence "Pillsbury" Kirkley, Sr. passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026. He was 49 years old. He was born on August 3, 1976.
Lawrence was an avid hunter, fisherman and cook. He served as a boy scout leader before he got sick. He loved his children and his family.
He is preceded by his parents, David Kirkley, Sr. and Beryl Bittle Kirkley and nephew, Ryan Stange.
He is survived by his wife, Amanda Kirkley, sons, Isaiah Kirkley of North Carolina, Lawrence Kirkley, Jr., and Gavin Kirkley; daughter, Aubree Kirkley; brother, David Mickey Kirkley (Heather) of South Dakota; sister, Tracie Kirkley (Candyman) of Vicksburg, Mississippi; mother-in-law, Linda McCammon; father-in-law, Danny McCammon; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Caid Sellers, LJ Kirkley, Jr., Danny McCammon, Matthew Jabour, Logan Sumrall and Laney McCammon. Honorary pallbearers will be Enhabit Hospice & Staff, Dr. Sam Pierce, The McCammon Family, The Nichols Family, Anna Nowell, Cathy Morgan, Gavin Kirkley and Aubree Kirkley.
A visitation will be held at Glenwood Funeral Home on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 12:00 P.M. - 2:00 P.M. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers family requests that any donations be made to Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital or St. Judes Children's Research Hospital.
