Lee Newman, Jr.

Lee Newman, Jr. passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026. He was 74 years old. He was born in Panama City, FL. to Huie Newman, Sr. and Trelle Marie Wise Newman. 

He enjoyed bass fishing, working in his shop and playing with his dogs. He was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. He loved the beach.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Huie Newman, Sr. and Trelle Marie Wise Newman; brother, Carlton Newman.

Lee is survived by his wife, Vickie Newman, sons, Stephen Newman and Bryan Barrentine (Sara); daughters, Elizabeth Somerville and Crystal Allen; sister, Barbara Chrestensen (Tommy); grandchildren, Noah Hamby (Alex), Calem Somerville, Morgan Ware, McKayla Ware, Tyler Miller, Hailey Mullen, Heaven Merritt and Sunny Duett.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Lee Giffin and the staff at Mission Primary. The Staff at Center Well Home Health & his nurse Hillary. The Staff at Gentiva & his nurse Rita Adams, & CC.

A celebration of life will be held at Glenwood Funeral Home on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Josh Gee officiating the service. Visitation will be held one hour before the service.
