Lewis M. Tingle

Lewis M. Tingle passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2024. He was 87 years old. He loved playing music. He played piano for Lighthouse Baptist Church. He was a faithful member of the church. He worked for the 412th Engineer Command and Waterways Experiment Station.

He is preceded in death by his parents Henry Walker Tingle and Ora Lee Stevenson Tingle; brothers, Charles Tingle, Jackie Tingle, Billy Tingle, James Tingle, Leon Tingle, Alton Tingle, Fred Tingle, Henry Tingle and Donald Tingle; sisters, Johnny Marie Murphy and Margie Kowen.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Irene Holeman Tingle; daughter, Phyllis Tingle; sister, Virginia Townsend. 

Pallbearers will be his nephews, and Honorary Pallbearers will be his great-nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Lighthouse Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Roszelle, Rev. Ben Luckett and niece, Carol Ann Tingle officiating the service.  Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of the service.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
