Linda Williamson Obituary

It is with overwhelming sadness and shattered hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved "Nene Linda" as she loved to be called.

Linda Gail Skelton Williamson, age 75 years old, peacefully passed away at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, Louisiana, on March 4, 2025, after a sudden unexpected illness. She was surrounded by loved ones. Those unable to be at her bedside were with her in love and spirit.

Linda was born November 18, 1949, in Hohenwald, Tennessee, to Willliam Gilbert Skelton and Retha Mae Ray Skelton.

Linda was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Known for her big heart and generosity, she was funny and kind with a loving soul. She was a great storyteller with many past memories that would make you laugh for days. She was loud and always managed to get the last word. She loved our Lord, her family and friends, her Parkview Baptist Church family, and Pastor Jason Lupo.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, W.G. Skelton and Retha Mae Skelton; husband, Joe Williamson; granddaughter, Shae Everett; and sister, Kat Skelton Gunn.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Sharon Everett; three stepchildren; two sisters, Barbara Busby (Ted) and Melissa Nettles; one brother, Lester Skelton (Mary); and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

We love you and will miss you every day. Until we meet again, may your homecoming be everything you've dreamed of as you stand before our Lord and Saviour.

A graveside service where family and friends can gather to celebrate Linda's life will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 7, 2025, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah, Louisiana, with Bro. Jason Lupo officiating under the direction of Crothers Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah.
