Linda Little Ory

Mrs. Linda Gail Little Ory, age 75, died Sunday, February 15,2026, at Merit Health River Region in Vicksburg, MS peacefully surrounded by family.

Linda was born and raised in Jackson County, MS and has been a resident of Claiborne County, MS for 50 years. Linda was very active in the community over the years Her passion and love in her life was her family, pets, and children. She owned Little Folks Day Care Center for several years and loved each kid as if they were her own. Linda worked as case worker at the Department of Human Services in Claiborne County for several years until her retirement. It was at this time; Linda became the Director of the Port Gibson/Claiborne County Chamber of Commerce until the time of her death. Linda was also employed by the Romola Water Department.

Linda was very strong in her faith and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Vicksburg, MS. Linda had served many roles over the years as a member of the choir, working with the Youth Ministry, teaching Sunday School and any other role she could serve others by volunteering.

Linda is survived by her son, Robert Anthony (Tony) Ory ( Becky ) of Crossett, AR, her daughter, Christina Marie Thomas of Kenner, LA, her special great Niece , Amber Nicole Pitts (Josh) of Ocean Springs, MS , her grand-children who affectionately called her Memaw ,Ava Jane , Everett Hayes, and Gregory , her brother , Lavelle E. Little of Moss Point, MS, her Aunts, Shirley Vicich and Thelma Hand, her sister in law, Marie Redmond of Pascagoula, MS and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Carl Ory, Jr, her parents, Howard and Edith Little, her brothers, Howard Gerald, Charles Glenn, and Billy Wayne.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 10:00 A. M. at Immanual Baptist Church in Vicksburg, MS with Rev. Billy Brumfield officiating. Visitation will be Friday, February 20, 2026, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Glenwood Funeral Home and also Saturday from 9:00 A.m. till the hour of the service at the church. A graveside service will be at 5:00 P.M. Saturday at Griffin Cemetery in Moss Point, MS.

Pallbearers will be Marshall Thomas, Pat Lee Parker, Jason Smith, Cecil Dillon, Don McAuley, James Joyner, Greg Mitchell, and Vernon Martin. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Hardy, Franklin Hicks, and Calvin Ashley.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials can be made to Immanuel Baptist Church, 6949 Hwy 61 South, Vicksburg, MS 39180.
