Linda Jean Rainey

Jeanie Rainey, born June 10, 1950, in Alabama, passed away on December 30,2024. She grew up in Chalmette, Louisiana. Jeanie was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis Barfield Sr and Rosalie Poole Barfield, her sisters Susan Pasciak and Pattie Barfield, and her beloved husband, Larkey Rainey. She is survived by her sisters Janet Decossas and Lauren Craig, and her brother Curtis Barfield.
Jeanie was a loving mother to her two children, Andy Rainey and Samantha Rainey, and an amazing Ganny to Emma McKenzie, Zoey McKenzie, Maci Lynn McKenzie, Andrew Rainey, Mason Rainey, and Sara Jean Rainey.
She retired as a daycare teacher, a profession she was passionate about. Jeanie loved playing card games and watching scary movies with her grandchildren.
She will be remembered for her loving marriage and the happiness she brought to her family.
