Louis Gene Hasty

Louis Gene Hasty passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025. He was 77 years old.

Louis was born on April 27, 1948, in Yazoo County the son of Arthur Inman Hasty and Ada Lorraine Ward Hasty. Louis worked as truck driver for H Squared Trucking that is a family business. Louis loved to drive trucks and also cook, garden, and cut grass. Louis is preceded in death by his parents Arthur Inman and Ada Lorraine Hasty, his wife Karen Joyce Hasty, and his brothers Plezy Leon Hasty, Mack Arthur Hasty, and Roger Wayne Hasty.

Louis is survived by his sons Christopher Michael Hasty (Noelle) and Gregory Gene Hasty (Amanda), daughter Brandy Flatt (Jimmy), brothers Hugh Hasty and Harvey Hasty, sister Beverly Hefner, 9 grandchildren Austin (Kayla), Hunter (Hannah), Katlin, Gracie, Jamy, Isabella, Conner, Ava, and Noah, 6 great-grandchildren Layton, Paisley, Lane, Emmylou, Laramie, and Maggie Grace, special bonus children Amy Hearn ( Justin, Brayden, and Kyleigh) and Jaye Carroll (Tiffany), and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Glenwood Funeral Home on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until the hour of the service Monday. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Austin Hasty, Hunter Hasty, Matt Floriani, Tommy Hefner, Kenny Hasty, and Steven Hasty. Honorary pallbearers will be Jaye Carroll, Layton Hasty, Lane Hasty, Noah Henke, Chase Wells, Chandler Bonelli, Jimmy Flatt, and David Turner.
