Martha Emerson Obituary

Martha Day Emerson passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2020. She was 80 years old.

Martha was born in Kilmichael, MS and raised in Jackson, Ms. She had lived in Vicksburg for 49 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents James L. Day and Birdie Lucille Day; her brothers Lester Day, Dean Day, Bobby Day, and Danny Day.

She is survived by her husband Ray H. Emerson; daughters Sandy Adcock (Eddie) and Becky Shaw (Tom); son Jimmy Emerson (Trisha). Grandchildren Eric Adcock (Sarah), Dottie Kate McInnis (David), Rachel Lehman (Rodney), Kelly Andrews (Steven), Emily Blanchard (T-Joe), Hannah Dodson Tanner), Gracie Emerson, and Katie Emerson; and nine great-grandchildren a sister Marie Rawson and a brother Chester Day (Katherine).

A private family graveside will be held with Rev. Rob Able officiating.

Pallbearers will be Eric Adcock, David McInnis, Rodney Lehman, Steven Andrews, T-Joe Blanchard, and Tanner Dodson.
