Funeral services for Mary Ann Hairston Cooper, 82, of Ackerman, Mississippi will be Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Hollandale Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will be at Hollandale Cemetery. Services will be under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home of Vicksburg, MS.

She passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Choctaw Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Ackerman where she was residing.

She was born on July 24, 1943, to William Dow Hairston, Sr. and Annie Rachel Miller Hairston.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Herman Felon Cooper, Sr. and her son, Herman Felon Cooper, Jr. Also, her parents and siblings, William Dow (Marlene) Hairston Jr., Mabel Ruth Cole, Bobby Edward (Thelma) Hairston, Francis Marie (Gene) Guyton, Ira Kemp (Mary Allene) Hairston Sr. and Wayne Allen Hairston.

She is survived by her daughter, Chris Cooper (Bill) Boykin of Ackerman, MS; grandchildren Tina Eddins Gaspard of Mathis, Texas, Niki (Matt) Pea of Ackerman, and Cody Cooper of Holcomb, MS; great-grandchildren, Bayli, Austin, Colby, Brandt, Canton, Broden, Olivia and Sophia and two great-great grands Brandon and Emma Claire.

Pall Bearers will be Austin Brown, Colby Brown, Matt Pea, Cody Cooper, Kemp Hairston, Bubba Hegwood.

Honorary Pall Bearers will be Steve Miller, Hayes Miller, Wayne Powers, Dwayne Powers and Bubba Cooper
