Mary Dudley Harris

Mary D. Harris, 92, died October 5, 2021, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Mrs. Harris was born February 6, 1929, in Vicksburg, Mississippi, to Leonard and Olive Dudley. She was a resident of Vicksburg most of her life until moving to Baton Rouge in 2020. Mary was very proud of being a native of Vicksburg. She loved the history that encompasses the city and the beautiful architecture of the old homes.

Mrs. Harris worked for many years in the insurance department of the Vicksburg Clinic. Being a true people person, she was sell suited for the job. She was also a “Big Blue” band mom to many Warren Central students during the 1970s.

She was a lifelong member of the Vicksburg Church of Christ.

Mrs. Harris is survived by her brother, Fred Dudley and spouse, Carolyn Dudley; son, Robert W. Harris, Jr. (Bob) and spouse, Denise Harris; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 9, 2021, at Glenwood Funeral Home with visitation from 12:00-2:00 pm and services at 2:00 pm.
