Mary Jo Jarmon

Mary Jo Jarmon, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021 surrounded by her family. A graveside service will be held at  2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Glenwood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mary Jo Jarmon was born on October 17, 1947 to Henry M. and Ola Mae Jarmon of Vicksburg, Mississippi.

Early in her career, Mary Jo or "Jo", had a passion for teaching and writing and was a well-known columnist of "About Town" at the Vicksburg Evening Post. Later in life, she became a grandmother to Isabella, who she found to be her greatest blessing. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Franklin; granddaughter, Isabella Davis of Petal, MS; her brother, Dr. Henry M. "Mack" Jarmon, Jr. of Edwards, MS; her sister, Jeanette Jarmon of Columbus, MS; her aunt, Eloise Harrell of Delhi, Louisiana; and many nieces and nephews and their families.
