Mary Elizabeth Redmon

Mary Elizabeth Redmon was born in middle Tennessee on August 15, 1935, and passed away in Vicksburg, Mississippi on November 27, 2024, at Merit Health River Region Hospital. She resided in Vicksburg for 59 years.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Clyde A. Redmon; daughters, Angelia Hughes (Johnny) of McLouth, KS and Karen Sumrall of Vicksburg, MS; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and sister, Sue Nunley of Unicoi, TN.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Paschal and Mary Lou Kirby; her sisters, Veatrice Alred, Ruth Barnes, Martha Stewart; brothers, Kenneth Kirby, Neal Kirby, Edwin Kirby and Charles Kirby. 

Pallbearers will be Lee Wiles, Jeffery Holmes, Thad Wade, Billy Neely, Roy Wade and Patrick Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be all friends.

Visitation will be Monday, December 2, 2024, at Vicksburg Church of Christ from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of the service. A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. with minister Larry Macomber officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
