Matthew “Matt” Benton Jobe died suddenly from a brief illness Saturday, November 20, 2021, in Tallulah, Louisiana, at the age of 31. He was born August 10, 1990, in Monroe, Louisiana, to Janette Adele Stockton Jobe and Clifton Ray Jobe, Jr.
Matthew is preceded in death by his mother, Janette Adele Jobe, and his grandparents, Linda Weis and Thomas Stockton.
Matthew is survived by four children, Coralee A. Jobe, Colton R. Jobe, Gracie May Jobe, and William T. Jobe; father, Clifton Ray Jobe, Jr.; one sister, Tiffany A. Jobe; nieces and nephew, Alexis M. Peacock, Aaliyah J. Harvey, Aniyah J. Harvey, and Austin R. Harvey; and grandparents, Peggy and Clifton Ray Jobe, Sr. of Tallulah, Louisiana.
Matthew resided in Richmond, Louisiana, with his dad and sister.
Matthew was a decorated veteran of the U.S. Army where he served in the Afghanistan War, doing two tours, earning a Purple Heart.
Matt was loved by many and remembered as a son, brother, and friend with a heart of Gold!
A memorial service for Matthew “Matt” Benton Jobe will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, December 2, 2021, at First Baptist Church in Tallulah, Louisiana, with Bro. Jay Parker officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Rayville, Louisiana.
