Michael David Flowers

Michael David Flowers passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, April 17, 2021. He was 69.

Mike was born in Vicksburg, MS but raised in Port Gibson, MS. He was a life-long resident of Vicksburg, attended highschool at Carr Central High School, and was a member of Lighthouse Assembly of God. Mike worked as a contractor for several companies and then worked for Ergon over 25 years where he retired. Since retiring he worked with his brother doing construction and remolding work. He was a former member of Local 619, loved hunting, fishing and caring for his animals. Mike loved his children and grandchildren dearly, and loved spending time with his brother, sisters, and cousins. He enjoyed horseback riding, working on his cabin, and building things. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; Reginald and Edith Flowers, and his grandson Tyler Roberts.

Mike is survived by his wife, Cindy Flowers, his children; Bonnie Anderson(Eric), Speler Montgomery(Jerry), Rush Flowers(Dawn), Rebekah Roberts(Terry), and Jennie Buchanan(Michael),  his siblings; Becky Hynum, Jimmy Flowers, and Mavis Guimbellot, his grandchildren; Riley, Ty and Trey Roberts, Owen and Oakley Flowers, Gage Laird, Sara Bradford, John Ellis and Mary Ruth Montgomery, Edie and Dylan Buchanan, Eric Jr. and Melanie Anderson, and one great-grandchild, Lukas Bradford. 

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 9:00am with a funeral service immediately following at 11:00am at Glenwood Funeral Home. Burial will continue at Flowers Cemetery in Carlisle, MS.

George Farris will be officiating the service.

Active Pallbearers will include: Gage Laird, Eric Anderson, Jr., John Ellis Montgomery, Ty Roberts, Trey Roberts, Brad Carlisle, Joseph Ryan and Carl Flowers.

Honorary Pallbearers will include: Eric Anderson, Jason Flowers, Ray Dingler, Bobby Wallace, Buddy Ashley, Michael Shannon, Danny Daniels, Ronnie Flowers, Jerry Montgomery, Terry Roberts, and Michael Buchanan.
