Michael Alden Wilkinson

Michael Alden Wilkinson (Mike) died peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, July 16, at his home in Vicksburg, Mississippi.  He was 74 years old. 

A resident of Vicksburg since 1980 and the sixth of seven brothers enjoyed careers in trucking, house moving, and tree cutting.

A wonderful husband, father and neighbor, 

Mike enjoyed his family and his church, Immanuel Baptist. 

His best moments were time spent with his grandsons and great grandchildren.  He will be forever remembered as Grandpa Mike and Pawpaw.  He dearly loved his family and will be greatly missed. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Allen Franklin and Erna Mae Wilkinson and brothers; Wayne, Harold, Jeff, Dan and Myron and son, Steve Sennett and great grandson, Brooks Barnette. 

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda Sanders Wilkinson and son, Johnathan Daniel of Vicksburg Ms. (Courtney), daughters, Elizabeth Prentice of Fort Myers Fl. (Dave), and Angela Barnette of Pelahatchie Ms. (Terry) and brother Terry Wilkinson of Tn.; grandchildren, Justin Barnette, Blake Barnette, James Tyus, Gage Wilkinson, Joseph Sennett, Melissa Womble, Jagger Ryals, Kyley Ryals, Will Ryals; great grandchildren, Ryker, Shelby, Elena, Sophie, and Karleigh Barnette, Kyler Hartley and Dallas Ryals. 

Visitation will be Monday, July 21, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Vicksburg Ms from 9 AM to 11 AM. The service will begin at 11 AM followed by a graveside burial.

Pallbearers will be Justin Barnette, Ryker Barnette, Blake Barnette, Gage Wilkinson, Joseph Sennett and Dillon Hearn. 

Honorary Pallbearers are Sidney Brewer, Justin Parker, Jagger Ryals, Will Ryals, James Tyus and Allen Wilkinson.
