Micheal Earl Mobley was born on January 6, 1949 in Jackson, MS. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, January 31, 2020 at his home in Utica, MS.
Micheal was the oldest of 5 siblings. He is the son of Carmen Andreino and Alvin Mobley. After serving in the Navy during the Vietnam war, he enjoyed a variety of professions such as the owner of an auto repair shop to a highly skilled Iron Workers Union welder in the nuclear power plants. His continuous thirst for knowledge kept him at the cutting edge of technology and in deep study of Christianity. Reading , traveling, and photography were among his favorite hobbies, with the latter producing beautiful images that many have enjoyed. He could fix anything and used his skills to help those in need and empower others by sharing his knowledge and experience. He was preceded in death by his father Alvin Mobley.
Mike was faithful Christian and active member of Midway Church of Christ. The joy and optimism he shared in the face of his illness, encouraging others and living every day to the fullest, was his godly faith on display even when it was the most difficult. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Donna Kaye Mobley; daughter Erin Duke (Kevin); son Zack Mobley (Kate); grandchildren Dylan Duke, Ethan Michael, Austin Duke, Kaydence Mobley, Ella Mobley, and Adalynn Mobley; mother Carmen Andreino; step-mother Andrea Slack Mobley; sibilngs Paul Mobley, Vikki Hawkins, Merry Mobley, and Brian Mobley.
Services will be Monday, February 3, 2002 at 3:00 P.M. at Utica Christian Church with visitation starting at 2:00 P.M.. Donnie Cain will officiate. Burial will follow in Utica Cemetery.
