Myron Martin, Jr. Obituary

Myron Slyvester Martin, Jr. passed away in his home surrounded by his loved ones on Tuesday, June 9, 2020. He was 77.

Myron was raised in a Methodist church. He loved people, and his job as a barber. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; Myron Slyvester Martin, Sr. and Mildred McCreary, his paternal and maternal grandparents, and his brother, Genie McCreary.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Linda Martin, his two sons; Matthew Keith Martin, and Michael Shane Martin, his four brothers; J.P Martin, Melvin Martin, Mark Martin, and Jeff McCreary, four sisters; Eva Martin Cochran, Nan McCreary Gilbert, Maria McCreary Wooten, and Melody McCreary Stafford, his grandchildren; Carrie Miller, Logan Martin, Jamison Friley and Macey Martin, two great-grandchildren; Michael Reed Miller and Jenna Kay Miller, two aunts; Mary Ellis Burton and Sherry Russell, and two uncles; Erwin Stubbs and Fredrick Stubbs. 

A visitation will be held at Glenwood Funeral Home on Friday, June 12, 2020 at 12:00 pm. A chapel service will immediately follow the visitation at 2:00. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. 

Pallbearers are incomplete at this time.
