Norman Cooper Trevilion passed away on February 14, 2026. He was 88.
He was born in Port Gibson, MS on July 11, 1937, the son of Thomas Harbin Trevilion and Flora Bearden Trevilion. He attended Port Gibson Public Schools for ten years before transferring to Chamberlain Hunt Academy where he graduated in 1955. He attended the University of Southern Mississippi for two plus years. He served in the 412th Engineer Command for 10 years achieving the rank of Sergeant First Class. He went to work for the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers in 1963 and retired in 2001. He worked on the Mississippi River his entire career. Growing up he enjoyed spending time hunting, fishing, and riding horses. He loved visiting with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Thomas H. Trevilion; brothers John B. Trevilion and Thomas H. Trevilion, Jr. (who also passed away on February 11, 2026) and his wife Dorothy; nephew Thomas H. Trevilion, III; father and mother-in-law Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Kleinman; brother and sister-in-law Euylas and Glenda Burton; two young grandchildren and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Jo Ann K. Trevilion; daughter Lauri Trevilion Middleton (Pree); step-son George I. Ameen, Jr. (Allison); step-daughter Lisa A. Crevitt; grandchildren Candice Ameen, Cooper Middleton, Bennett Middleton; great-grandchild Hunter Roy Landers (Madison); sister-in-law Darlene Davidson (Jim) and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Glenwood Funeral Home officiated by Bro. Brian Parker. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of the service. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be George I. Ameen, Jr., Cooper Middleton, Pree Middleton, Hunter Landers, Tom Corbin and Burt Burton. Honorary pallbearers will be John Trevilion, Jim Davidson and Bogue DeShae Hunting Club members.
