Pamela Britton Obituary

Pamela "Pam" Britton
July 13, 1965 – June 3, 2026

Pamela "Pam" Britton, 60, of Mayersville, Mississippi, passed away on June 3, 2026.

Born on July 13, 1965, in Darlington, South Carolina, Pam was the daughter of Patricia (Don) Williams and Ed Grooms. She was known for her passion for life, quick wit, memorable stories, infectious laughter, and a spirited personality that endeared her to those who knew and loved her.

Pam graduated from Rolling Fork High School and later retired as the Tax Assessor of Issaquena County, where she faithfully served her community for many years. Through both her professional career and personal relationships, she made a lasting impression on countless lives.

She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including caring for her lawn, attending Rolling Fork First Baptist Church, and spending time with family and friends. Her greatest happiness came from those she loved, especially being “Hottie” to her grandson, Luke. Pam's faith, strength, unwavering acceptance of others, and unmistakable sense of humor will be remembered by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved four-legged companion, Carth; her sister, Tammie Grice; and her great-nephew, Remington Johnston.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Britton; her daughter, Fawn (Hunter) Ussery; and her adored grandson, Luke Ussery. She also leaves behind her nephews and their wives, great-nieces and great-nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends who will continue to cherish her memory.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 8, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. in County Line Cemetery.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who offered care, prayers, encouragement, and support throughout Pam's health journey. Your kindness and compassion meant more than words can express.

Though she will be deeply missed, Pam's love, laughter, strength, and enduring spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
