Patricia Boswell Lloyd, “Yah Yah” as she was affectionately known passed away peacefully in her home September 19th 2021. Her memorial service will be held at the Utica Christian church Monday September 27th, visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. with a service starting at 11:00.
Trish was born October 1st 1961 to June and William Boswell in Santa Barbara Ca. She was the only girl among 4 brothers; Billy, Paul, John and Drew Boswell. The result of having 4 brothers; she grew up tough and enjoyed playing football when they would let her and was an avid Saints fan. She spent her childhood on the move as an army family would until she moved to Vicksburg where she graduated high school from Warren Central. She was an avid learner, reader and had aspirations to one day be on Jeopardy.
Mom attended the Utica Christian Church every Sunday and Wednesday, teaching children’s Sunday school and helping with the youth. While Brother Brad gave his message she would take notes to reflect on later and follow along in her bible. As a member she will be greatly missed.
Her role as “Yah Yah” was perhaps her happiest achievement, as such she was a devoted grandmother to her only granddaughter Calliope Lloyd. She loved to do arts and crafts, make slime and bake with Calliope. She would pick Calliope from school daily and ensure that she got to where she needed to be; whether it was dance practice or art class and usually a trip to Baskin Robbins for ice cream; she would have her there. Calliope’s education and happiness was her top priority. Truly nobody could have asked for a better “Yah Yah”.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, June and William, and is survived by her 4 brothers, her 2 sons Seth and Robertus Lloyd, and her beloved granddaughter Calliope Lloyd.
