Peggy Jean Bolton

Peggy Jean Bolton passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Madison Parish Hospital in Tallulah, Louisiana, at the age of 77. She was born September 16, 1947, in Newellton, Louisiana, to William Ernest and Ella Mae Albert Parker.

Peggy was a long-time member of Parkview Baptist Church. She loved her church and her church family. She and her husband, Harold, made their home in Tallulah where they raised their son, Davie. Davie blessed them with three grandchildren, and his children gave them six great grandchildren. Peggy dearly loved her babies, and she loved growing flowers.

Peggy is preceded in death by her son, Davie Bolton, and her parents, William Ernest and Ella Mae Parker. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Harold Bolton; grandchildren, Cody Bolton, Christopher Bolton, and Rayland Bolton; great grandchildren, Georgia Kate Bolton, Bentley Bolton, Rosie Lee Bolton, McKinzie Bolton, Tatam Bolton, and Jameson Bolton; sister, Betty Sue May; and brother, Bobby Ray Parker.

Funeral services for Mrs. Peggy will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Parkview Baptist Church in Tallulah with Bro. Jimbo Herring officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton, Louisiana, under the direction of Crothers Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah.

Pallbearers will be Shelby Holmes, David Holloway, Kevin Purvis, Larry Jones, Christopher Bolton, and Cody Bolton.
