Riley Sylvester Ramshur

Riley Sylvester Ramshur passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at his home.  He was 81.

Riley was born on April 7, 1939 the son of Abner and Alice Walker Ramshur.  He was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg where he retired from Lee's Body Shop after 25 years.  He was an avid fisherman and a dedicated Poker player with his buddies on Tuesday nights.  He was an amazing Paw Paw.  He attended Solid Rock Church.

He is survived by his wife Theresa B. Ramshur; six daughters, Hattie Ramshur, Brenda Ramshur, Laura Ramshur, Alice Faye Cartier, Barbara Ramshur and Frances Ramshur; 3 sons, Ricky Ballard, Johnny Ramshur and Joey Ramshur; 3 sisters, Faye Dumas, Nancy Ramshur and Bea Rambowski and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Glenwood Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Cresswell officiating.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service.
