Robert L. Mullen

Robert L. Mullen (Bobby) passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at his home.  He was 73.

Bobby was born on May 27, 1947 the son of Herman Lester Mullen and Mary Louise Boone Mullen.  He served in the Army during the Vietnam War and received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Marksman and Good Conduct Medal.  He retired from Waterways Experiment Station after 25 years of service.  After retirement he worked for Super Jr. for 17 years.  He loved hunting and fishing.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother Herman Mullen and sisters Edna Morton and Marilyn Thompson.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years Patricia Norwood Mullen; daughters Margaret Autrey (fiance' Chris Greaver) and  Carmen Phillipson; brother Jimmy Mullen (Karen); grandchildren whom he loved and adored, Zack Autrey, Jessica Autrey, Blake Phillipson, Ethan Phillipson and Emily Phillipson 

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Cedar Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Glenwood Funeral Home. 

Pallbearers will be Zack Autrey, Blake Phillipson, Ethan Phillipson, Sam Phillipson, Wade Blair and Edward Mullen.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Mullen, Ray Hearn and Eddie Edwards.
