Ronald Bernard Brown, 65 of Port Gibson, Mississippi left this earth after a long battle with cancer on January 18th, 2019 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center surrounded by family.
Ronald was born in Warren County on July 5, 1953. He lived most of his life in Claiborne County where he loved his family, the outdoors and visiting with dear friends. He was married to
and enjoyed life to the fullest with his beloved wife Vansiri Brown (Wan). He served his community in many ways including being a part of Law Enforcement for PGPD and serving as Port Gibson Street and Water Commissioner until his retirement in 2005. It was just recently that he resigned as the operator of CS&I Water Systems in 2019. He Graduated from Mississippi State University in 1975 with a degree in Plant and Animal Science. He was a member of St. James Episcopal Church.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents Vernon and Myrtie Brown.
He is survived by his wife Vansiri (Wan) Brown, Sister Valerie Case (Bill), Son Ronald “Trey” Brown Jr. (Coritha), Daughter Jennye Lynne Mardis (Morgan), Daughter Callie Brown, Son Harry Hawkins; 6 Grandchildren & 1 Great Grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 5-8PM Monday, January 21, 2019 at Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson, MS. Funeral will be held at St. James Episcopal Church at 9:30am on Tuesday
January 22, 2019 also in Port Gibson, MS.
Pallbearers will be Terry Miles, Raymond Willis, Mike Foreman, Larry Copes, Nathan Hatcher, Walt Mardis,Tyler Ragan Brown and Cody Brown.
Honorary Pallbearers will be David Headley, Eddie Lipscomb, Mike Greer, William Greer, Russell Greer, Mark Greer, EveretteGreer, Jeff Knight, Darrell Purvis, Steve Purvis, Jimmy Burch
and Don Wilson.
