Roy H. Collins

Roy H. Collins passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024. He was 84 years old.

Roy was born in Pascagoula, MS on March 30, 1940. He attended Moss Point High School, and later attended Clark Memorial College in Mississippi from 1963-1966, Memphis State College in Tennessee from 1968-1970, and Center of Degree Study in Pennsylvania from 1986- 1990. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1958- 1960 being honorable discharged with the rank of Private First Class. He surrendered to the ministry in 1962. He was licensed by Orange Grove Baptist Church, in Jackson County, MS and ordained by Decedar Baptist Church in Lawrence County, MS. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, carpentry, and reading. Roy is preceded in death by his wife Cristina Collins and his mother Vivian Smith Stork.

Roy is survived by his daughter Zena Collins and son-in-law Michael J. Menapace, brothers Eddie Stork and Rocky Cochian, grandchildren Michael S. Menapace, Gene Collins, and Amanda Prieta, Nieces and nephew Kimberly, Jenifer, and Chris Stork.
