Rudy Edmond Davis, 74, passed away Friday, August 2, 2024, following a battle with Cancer. He went to be with our Lord peacefully and surrounded by family.
Mr. Davis was born in Canton, MS to Rodney Edmond Davis and Bobbie Nell Ward. He resided most of his later years in Redwood.
Rudy worked as a log truck driver and also a Union Carpenter. He retired in 1980 following an injury at work. He loved riding Harley Davidsons, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rudy was preceded in death by his parents Rodney Davis, Bobbie Bailey and stepfather Foster Bailey, and youngest son Travis Davis.
He is survived by his daughter Melissa Coley (Sam), sons James Davis (Shandy) and Tracy Davis (Robin), a sister Carolyn Pettway (Rudy), a brother James Davis (Susan), 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Glenwood Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Cresswell officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Davis, Alex Davis, Robert Height, Michaul Pryor, Jamie Davis and Drew Lewis. Honorary pallbearers will be Samuel Coley, III and Joshua Hunt.
