Samuel Jim Oglesby

Samuel Jim Oglesby passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. He was 66 years old. He was born in Houma, LA on October 28, 1957, to Samuel Ralph Oglesby and Carol Yunke Oglesby. He was an avid sportsman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a loving husband and Christian man. He cherished his wife Sherry very much. 

He is preceded by his parents, Samuel Ralph Oglesby and Carol Yunke Oglesby.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Oglesby; stepsons, Eric Howell (Rebecca) and Ken Howell; sister, Nancy Adams (Whit); grandchildren, Cambria Howell and Cameron Howell.

Pallbearers will be Joe Liddell, William Adams, Kelly Landers, Whit Adams, Ralph Landers and Sammy Landers. 

A funeral service will be held at Utica Baptist Church on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Rocky Henriques officiating the service. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Interment will be at Carpenter Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to Carpenter Cemetery in Hermanville, MS.
