Sandra Sullivan Harrigill

Sandra Faye Sullivan Harrigill passed away peacefully at home on March 23, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Sandra was born on December 4, 1949, in Grove Hill, Alabama, to George and Opal Sullivan. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Judy Gilley.

At the age of 16, Sandra moved to Vicksburg, where she married the love of her life, Larry Harrigill, beginning a beautiful life together that would span 59½ devoted years of marriage. After graduating from Warren Central High School. Sandra worked at Simpson Duravent for many years. She was also the secretary of Woodman Life, Lodge 1 where she received the David Patrick Memorial “Extra Effort”award.

Sandra is survived by her husband, Larry Harrigill; her loving children, David Harrigill (Michelle), Angela Greer (Mitch), and Jennifer Pownall (Ron). She is also survived by her sisters, Peggy Williams (Andy) and Betsy Hill (Harold); her brother, Ricky Sullivan (Becky); her brother-in-law, Foster Gilley; her sister-in-law, Jewel Farmer; and her cherished grandchildren, Tyler Pettway (Taylor), Christopher Harrigill (Kaycee), Dylan Greer (Makayla), Kaylee Harrigill, Hope Pownall, and Holt Pownall, as well as six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.

Sandra was a devoted Christian and a lifelong member of Grace Baptist Church, where she loved her church family deeply. She found great joy in spending time with her grandchildren, especially making them homemade biscuits whenever they came to visit. Her life was a reflection of her unwavering faith, kindness, and deep love for her family.

Sandra will be remembered for her devotion to her loved ones and her steadfast faith in the Lord. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A service to celebrate Sandra’s life will be held at Glenwood Funeral Home on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., with visitation beginning at 1:30 p.m. until the time of service. A graveside service will follow at Yokena Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Pettway, Dylan Greer, Holt Pownall, Billy Williams, Matt Williams, Brian Gilley, Derek Sullivan, Phillip Sullivan, and Harrison Hill.

Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Greer, Eddie Evans, and Christopher Harrigill.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Grace Baptist Church or to a charity of your choice in Sandra’s memory.
