Sarah Holoway Strahan died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on October 25, 2025. A private memorial graveside service will be held at a later date.
Ms. Strahan was born on January 7, 1946, in Cary, MS. She attended Cary School and graduated from Rolling Fork High School. She was retired from U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
She is survived by her son Ronnie Wooley (Allyson), sisters Pat H. Rutledge (Joe), Fay Shiers, brother Hugh D. Holloway (Tara) and numerous nieces and nephews. Her true loves were her cats, Cowboy and Cowgirl.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Strahan, parents Gordon and Addie Mae Holloway and her daughter, Carol Wooley.
Ms. Strahan enjoyed spending time with family and friends going to various Vicksburg restaurants, especially Beachwood where she had a reserved table every Sunday.
The family would like to thank the staff at Fresenius Kidney Care and the staff at Enhabit Home Health and Hospice.
