Sheila Kay Greene Thompson, 75, passed away Monday, June 23, 2026, at her home in Newellton, Louisiana. She was born August 23, 1950, in Newellton to Kenneth Edgar and Alice Katherine Cooper Greene.
Mrs. Thompson was a homemaker. She loved her family, taking care of her cat, and watching television. She was a top-notch cook and taught everyone in her family the skill of cooking. She was dearly loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all.
Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Alice Greene; husband, John W. Thompson, II.; and siblings, Donald Greene and Linda Emfinger. She is survived by her children, Shelly Thompson (Leonardo), John W. Thompson, III (Tamara), Teresa Thompson (Tammy), and Jennifer Thompson; grandchildren, Kalob Thompson (Crystal), Sabrina Welch (Nathan), Esther Solis, Erin Thompson (Ashley), and Jonathan Thompson; great grandchildren, Ciersten, Greyson, Elijah, Sebatian, Skyler, Jasper, and Harlan; sister, Bobbie Ford; numerous nieces and nephews, brother-in-law, Robert McGee, very special friend, Mary Helen Garner, and her much loved cat, Calie.
Funeral services for Mrs. Thompson will be held Friday, June 26, 2026, at Crothers Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah, Louisiana, with Bro. Eddie Martin and Deacon George Cooper officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM with the service beginning at 3:00 PM. Burial will follow at Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Jesseph, Steven Smith, Stacy Smith, Erin Thompson, Jonathan Thompson, Kalob Thompson, and auxiliary pallbearers, Larry Hayden and Hugh Newsom.
