Shirley Faye Whitehead

Shirley Faye Whitehead passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022 in Vicksburg, MS. She was 97 years old.

Mrs. Shirley Whitehead was born on August 22, 1924 in Choudrant, LA. Shirley spent all of her years serving her Lord and her church Highland Baptist. She cherished all her friends. She worked for Cooper Lighting and retired after 25 years of service. She enjoyed traveling with her friends. She worked for Ergon for several years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Eck and Elva Kennimer; brothers, Leland Kennimer, Raymond Kennimer, Eugene (Brother) Kennimer; sisters Christine McGakee, Paula Kennimer, Hazel Everett, Eugena (Sissy) Welch.

She is survived by her sons, Alford Whitehead (Mary Lynne), Sandy Whitehead (Marla Jo), Earnest Whitehead (Louisa); daughter, Joyce Mulkey; brothers, Roland Kennimer, Curtis Kennimer "Donnie"; sister, Claudine Greer "Whittie"; 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Al Whitehead, Clayton Whitehead, Donnie Ray, Ben Logan, Johnathan Whitehead and Donnie Allen.

A graveside service will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 2:00 P.M.
